Our group seeks to produce a safe, comfortable and high quality working environment. We aim to provide adequate, reliable sources of energy and water to sustain its activities. The group delivers a procurement and management system that allows the most cost effective use, together with its wider environmental objectives.
Objectives
- Provide, manage and maintain a safe work environment.
- Be more cost effective.
- Protect the environment, by minimising carbon dioxide emissions.
- Conform to group policy requirements.
- Monitor energy use.
- Appropriately recycle office waste.
- Procure fuel at most economic cost.
- Utilise fuel at the most cost effective manner.
- Increase awareness amongst employees about energy responsible attitudes.
- To encourage good practices as regards to heat and light within working environment.
Management
- The group’s policy will be driven and determined by the Managing Director, and implemented by senior management.
- Monitoring of the policy will be a key responsibility of the group S.H.E. Manager.
- Senior management will be responsible for raising awareness determined by the group’s energy management policy.
- Senior management will be responsible for delivering the energy and water supplies, and improving utilisation wherever possible.
Implementation
- The purchase of energy at the best price, having considered security of supply and other contractual arrangements.
- Introduction of energy efficient initiatives where possible.
- Control of heating and light where practically possible.
- Inform and educate, using specific programmes on energy issues.
- Utilise low energy appliances whenever possible.
